I'm not in PETA, but I love me some animals
Today, while walking by the delightful pond located conveniently between Mabee and Case, I spoke to a frog.
It was a fine, sunny day and I was in a fine, sunny mood. And as I crossed over the bridge, I heard a happy little croak coming from one of the pond’s inhabitants. I paused and with a smile on my face, I said “Mr. Frog, I really do love you.”
As I continued on my way I felt increasingly more bashful about my expression of affection towards that charming amphibian. It is a common occurrence for me to have conversations with members of other species but I will concede that perhaps it is a tad odd to have immediate surges of fondness for creatures such as Mr. Frog.
I am simply going to chalk it up to my lack of sleep, my unnatural amounts of Dr. Pepper consumption, and the fact that I miss having pets. A lot.
There are days when I simply cannot stand to be around people. But I cannot remember a time in which I did not want to have an animal around for hugs, kisses, and maybe even a little conversation.
-- Freshman Confession of the Week: I stole a fork from the cafeteria on accident. I feel horrible…and slightly confused as to how it got in my pocket. For the record, I will return it promptly.
