The minute freshmen arrive on the Baker campus they are bombarded with choices. What classes should I take? What activities should I become involved in? Where should I put my mini-fridge? Perhaps above all these, however, is the question on whether to join a greek house.

Long range giving the University and involvement with the University can be tied to Greek life. I have friends who were Greek and those that weren't. The ones who were are more prone to attend fundraisers and participate in the activities of Baker. They attend Stag, Kansas City area fundraisers and serve on committees for the University. It could be the tie to their Greek house.

RETENTION RETENTION RETENTION. Greek life is an instant connection. Which is good for the bottom line.

Poor choice of words. While I could potentially see why a Director of Student Life may like to see more students go Greek, this makes it look as though there is a bias within the ranks of the university administration.
