Nothing but fond memories and strong connections will follow the soon-to-be-departed Mark Zeno, associate dean of students, into his future endeavors.
Zeno held his position at Baker University for a year and a half and will leave at the end of this semester to move to Ohio where he and his wife are expecting a child. Zeno said the chance to help students become productive members of the working world has been the most rewarding part of his job.
“Baker is a very tight-knit community, and there are a lot of opportunities for students to take on leadership positions and to get involved at Baker University,” Zeno said.
Sophomore Tiffany Bagsby, a resident assistant in Irwin Hall, said Zeno was very approachable.
“Mark Zeno is very organized and informed. He makes sure that we, as RAs, are doing the best job possible,” Bagsby said.
Junior Steven Lovelady, Gessner Hall director, said he got along well with Zeno.
“Mark Zeno brought a lot of innovation and progress,” he said.
Director of Student Activities Shelby Coxon will take over Zeno’s position.
“She is going to be fantastic,” Zeno said. “My only advice to her is to not let things get too overwhelming.”
Zeno said he is looking at many different career opportunities, but he would really like to stay in the field of higher education.
