The Baker volleyball team snagged another Heart of America Athletic Conference win against Graceland University Oct. 23 in Collins Center.
The Yellowjackets gave the Wildcats a tough first game, but Baker came out on top 27-25. Sophomore Brooke Pryor and senior Alexis Pryor combined for 29 kills, while senior Jayde Allen helped the back line with 29 digs. Freshman Brooke Allen helped out with 18 digs.
“We did a good job of playing consistently and were able to step up when we needed to,” Alexis Pryor said.
The Wildcats tried to hold on through the second game but dropped it 17-25. The win-loss pattern continued with Baker winning the third 25-20. A loss in the fourth game (21-25) brought the match into the fifth where the Wildcats squashed the Yellowjackets 15-11. The Wildcats are ranked No. 3 in the HAAC rankings.
The team traveled Thursday to Benedictine College but results were unavailable at presstime.
