The Baker men’s and women’s tennis teams have several quality freshmen coming in looking for playing time this season.
The men lost some key players from last season, including Hunter Hollarn and Bo Zaputovic, while the women’s team will not have any juniors or seniors on the team in the fall.
In addition, both junior Molly Flanigan and senior Taylor Bonar are studying abroad this semester.
Head coach Bruce Anderson said one of the newcomers for the women’s team could be playing at the No. 1 spot.
“We brought in some real talent on the women’s side,” Anderson said. “Over the next year or two this is going to be one of the toughest teams in the HAAC, if it isn’t already.”
The Wildcat teams will play several tournaments in the fall as well as playing an alumni match on Baker's campus, which has been played in January in Overland Park in the past.<br/>&#160;
