Baker’s tennis teams hosted Missouri Valley College Tuesday, but inclement weather ended the men’s matches early and caused a change of location for the final women’s matches.
The men’s team was down 5-0 against Missouri Valley before having the rest of the matches called due to rain.
“We’ve been doing really well,” sophomore Drew Richter said. “We fought really hard against Missouri Valley, and we’re starting to get better.”
The women’s team also lost against Missouri Valley. They played three matches in Baldwin City before being forced to go to the Jayhawk Tennis facility in Lawrence to finish out their games. However, they were unable to get a win.
“The matches were very close,” sophomore Laura Caby said. “We were doing really well.”
The Wildcats will be back in action Saturday, when they travel to Lamoni, Iowa, to play Graceland University.<br/>&#160;
