The Baker track and field team hosted the Wildcat Relays Saturday at Liston Stadium.
This meet was the last chance for the athletes to compete before the HAAC Outdoor Championships.
On the men’s side, freshman Travis Miller had a standout performance, hitting the national qualifying mark in the high jump. Senior Kome Okiomah made an impressive performance in the 100-meter dash, grabbing a career-best time of 10.63 seconds.
On the women’s side, both the 4×100-meter and the 4×400-meter relay teams ran seasonal bests.
The conference meet begins Friday at Benedictine College in Atchison.
"Our goal is to be top three on both sides," head coach Zach Kindler said. "I think that we definitely have the potential on both teams to do that. We have to go and compete, and if we just go in and perform like we are capable of, that will happen."<br/>&#160;
