To the Baker Orange Editor and Staff:

Congratulations on another stellar year of recognition from the Kansas Associated Collegiate Press!  Receiving the All-Kansas Award for the best newspaper published by a four-year college in Kansas continues to put you in a league of your own.  In the past 13 years, Baker has won this award 11 times—outdistancing all four-year public and private schools in the state.  This is truly an amazing accomplishment, and we are very proud of you and thank you for your hard work. Your sister online publication, The Baker Orange Online, also deserves kudos for receiving the gold medal in the online category.  Your continuous up-to-the-minute coverage of news is informative and on the leading edge of journalism's future.

Faculty Advisers, Dr. Gwyn Mellinger and Mr. Dave Bostwick, thank you for providing outstanding leadership and guidance, and a special congratulations to Chris Smith for winning the Journalist of the Year award.
