Baker University is being welcomed into Omaha, Neb., after market research was conducted to find the city is a good market for Baker’s business program.
“The more convincing piece about going to Omaha was that in our research, we found that there are over a quarter of a million students who have transcripts, but have not actually completed their degree,” Chief Operating Officer Susan Lindahl said.
Students will be able to obtain business bachelor’s degree and master’s degrees, and education degrees may be soon to follow.
“They asked us if we would consider bringing other programs like a bachelor’s or master’s in nursing or other programs, and we said if the need would arrive, then certainly,” Lindahl said.
For Baker as a whole, a rise in enrollment numbers would help the school’s financial well-being.
