Baker’s education schools are accredited for another seven years.
Peggy Harris, dean of the School of Education, said on May 7 the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education gave Baker a seven-year accreditation, meaning all six standards set by the council were met with no serious problems.
“That’s the highest you can go, so we feel pretty good about it,” Harris said. “It’s good news for us.”
The council visited all of Baker's education campuses in November, and released a preliminary statement that Baker met all six standards after its visit.<br/>NCATE's next visit to Baker's education schools is scheduled for the fall of 2016.
