The second season of Baker University wrestling is in full swing and within two days of competition, the men not only won a decisive victory in a dual against Calumet College, but gave a strong showing in the second annual Dan Harris Open.
The men took an early 3-0 deficit Saturday against Calumet, but won eight straight matches and ended the dual with a score of 41-9.
“We have great things working and great things to do in the future,” assistant coach George Roath said.
Then, Sunday at the Dan Harris Open in Collins Center, the Wildcats qualified 15 wrestlers for the NAIA National meet.
Among the returning Baker University national qualifiers to renew their tickets were sophomores Jordan McGuire, Nathan Sommer, Brandon Gebhardt and Jacob Nowak and junior Clarence Jordan.
