The season finale for the Baker University football team will be something the team will probably not forget soon, but it was the bus ride to the game that made the day memorable.
Due to multiple problems with the charter bus, the game against Central Methodist University began an hour and a half late Saturday.
“The bus ride was nothing short of the most ridiculous thing that I have been a part of,” sophomore Reggie Harris said.
The bus hit a pole, which put a dent in the rim of one of the tires, and later got stuck in a ditch. The players eventually had to pile into some of the parents’ cars to get to the game.
The trip did not affect Baker’s performance, though, as the team defeated Central Methodist 34-0.
Freshman Scott Meyer led BU with 225 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns.
