The Baker men’s soccer team lashed back with a vengeance Friday against Missouri Baptist University, winning 4-0.
Sophomore Nate Byarlay led the attack for the Wildcats, contributing two of the four goals in the match.
His first goal came off a corner kick from junior Steven Stewart.
“I just made a run to the near post and headed it in,” Byarlay said.
Stewart also contributed a goal, along with freshman Connor Brehm.
The Wildcats’ next opponents are Hannibal-Lagrange College and Westminster College, at 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at North Park.
“We’ve got to continue to push forward and put the other team under pressure. We are going to focus on decision making and using the whole field,” head coach Nate Houser said. “I think we took a very important step forward.”
