At Tuesday’s Baker University Student Senate meeting, president Warren Swenson announced he will not run again for president, and applications are available for class officer and executive positions.
Public Relations Chair Kyle Baum said he plans to run again for his position, but is surprised about Swenson’s choice.
“He has done a great job,” Baum said. “He has great leadership skills, and it takes a lot to be president. I think it takes a lot more time than people realize.”
All students can apply to be a class officer or an executive student senate member, but must have one year of experience to be president.
Executive position applications are due Wednesday and elections are April 19. Class officer applications are due April 20 and elections are April 26.
