The Denious Hall renovations were scheduled to be completed by July, but instead will be finished in late-October.
“All of the first floor is to be completed for now,” Darla Prather, director of university budget and facilities, said.
Mark Bandre, vice president for enrollment management and student development, and other staff members who help with enrollment and financial aid will move to Denious Hall once the makeover is complete.
Prather said the second floor of the building will not be done at this time because an elevator still needs to be put in, along with more labor to complete the project.
The first floor renovations will permit more space for those working in the building. Prather said it will be a one-stop shop, and will be easier for students to find. A welcome center will also be added to the building.
“There is a nice lobby at the front door for the welcome center,” Prather said.
The building will also become the home of the University Admissions Assistants’ call center.
“The project is moving along well,” Prather said.
