It’s been a successful bowling season for sophomore Caitlin Campbell and her teammates on the Baker University bowling team.
Campbell was one of eight women who journeyed Saturday to St. Clair, Ill., for the team’s second to last meet of the season. In all, 32 teams competed.
Head coach Cheryl Keslar said Campbell did extremely well, failing to score a strike or spare on just 17 of 108 frames.
“You know your goal is always to make it to the next level,” Keslar said. “Before this tournament, we were ranked No. 70, aiming to get into the top 64. We’re ready to give 150 percent the next two weeks to get where we need to go.”
Baker’s next meet will be Feb 19 and 20 in Indianapolis, where it will compete to qualify for a spot at regionals.
