After successful seasons for both the Baker University men’s and women’s soccer teams, the teams are looking to build the programs in which a large number of seniors will be leaving upon graduating this spring.
“With our success, recruiting has been really easy,” assistant coach Davy Phillips said.
A key recruit for the Wildcats will be Shelby Schiraldi, younger sister of junior Alix Schiraldi and 2009 Baker graduate Gina Schiraldi.
The women’s team is expecting between 10 and 15 recruits.
Although the coaching staff has looked into recruits and has confirmed some players for the men’s team, many recruits are waiting to play their senior season with their club team before making a final decision.
“We have a great group of returning players that are going to play key roles for us,” Phillips said.
