Phi Mu sorority will host its annual Pizza Palooza, an event that invites hungry Baker students to come eat all the pizza they can for the benefit of the Children’s Miracle Network.
Sophomore Shelby Gitchel and freshman Cassie Wells, Baker Orange staff writer, are in charge of organizing the event, and hope to raise $750 for the organization through ticket sales and raffling off prizes that will be given away throughout the evening.
“We just get local pizza places and places in Lawrence to donate pizzas,” Gitchel said. “We’ll be cooking the pizzas in our kitchen and people can just come and eat what they want and hang out.”
The event will take place from 8 p.m. to midnight Wednesday at the chapter house. Tickets can be bought in advance from any member of Phi Mu for $4 or tickets can be purchased for $5 at the door.
