Delta Delta Delta sorority invited students to come hungry as it hosted its second annual DHOP event Wednesday.
The sorority members cooked and served pancakes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Delta Delta Delta sorority house to both students and members of the community.
“Last year, we only had the fundraiser available to students, but we’ve opened it up to the public, as well as students this year, to just get more people involved,” Tara Chumley, Delta Delta Delta philanthropy chair, said.
Admission was $5 or five addresses for an all-you-can-eat menu of pancakes and drinks, and all proceeds went to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
“Our philanthropy is St. Jude’s, so all fundraisers we do go toward that,” Chumley said. “I think it’s a really good opportunity to get the community and students involved to raise money for a good cause.”
