Baker University’s Cardinal Key is now accepting applications from students to become new members.
Cardinal Key is a service-based honor society on the Baldwin City campus. Members have significant experience in volunteer service activities and also hold high GPAs.
“In the application we ask them what sort of volunteer opportunities they took part in high school and also in college,” Sara Crump, Cardinal Key adviser, said.
GPA is required on the application, along with a brief summary of why students are interested in joining.
There can be a total of 25 students in the organization, and Crump said five to 10 people are usually accepted each year.
Cardinal Key does several service projects each year to support juvenile diabetes, and other causes. Two major events are a chili feed in the fall to raise money for local food banks and King and Queen of Courts in the spring to raise money for juvenile diabetes.
Applications for Cardinal Key are due to Crump by March 21 through campus mail.
