DIY: Cardboard Wall Flowers

Story by Sarah Baker, Editor

Assistant Editor Sarah Baker creatively found a new use for a common object that everyone throws away. Repurpose those useless cardboard tubes from spent rolls of toilet paper into something new and decorative for your walls in 6 easy steps.

Step 1: Supplies

You will need toilet paper tubes (20 or more), a pair of scissors, liquid glue, paint of your choice, paint brush and clothes pins/bobby pins.

Step 2:

Slightly flatten the tubes into an almond shape and cut four equal slices into the roll, leaving you with four rings. Do this for every roll.

Step 3:

Glue one corner of five rings together in a flower shape and hold them in place with bobby pins/clothes pins.

Step 4:

After the rings are securely glued, paint them with a color of your choice (white might be a good option).

Step 5:

Form the ‘flowers’ into a shape you like, glue them and use the pins to hold them while they dry.

Step 6: Finished Product

Once it is dry, you can hang it up on your wall with a simple tack or nail, and enjoy your new creation.
