The no. 9 ranked Wildcats received their first conference loss of the season to the William Penn University Statesmen after the contest was postponed from Saturday to Sunday due to weather.

In the first half, both teams scored a goal to make the score 1-1 going into halftime. Jordan Alonge scored the lone goal for the Wildcats in the 24thminute of the game off an assist from Derek Colato.

The Statesmen scored in the final minute of the first half and took that momentum into halftime and the second half. William Penn scored their second goal early in the second half and also capitalized on a penalty kick to extend their lead to 3-1. The Wildcats were unable to respond as the final score was 3-1, Statesmen.

The Wildcats are still in good standing in the Heart of America Conference with a 3-1 conference record. The Wildcats will travel to Grandview University to take on the Vikings on Oct. 3, where the Wildcats will look to bounce back from their first conference loss.
