Women to face OBU in national tourney

The women’s basketball team has earned its second consecutive bid to the NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship in Independence, Missouri, from March 18-24 at the Independence Events Center. Baker’s first game will be at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19.

The third-seeded women’s basketball team lost to the second-seeded Benedictine Ravens in the Heart of America Athletic Conference tournament semifinals March 6 in Atchison 57-55. Senior Kyrstie Ehm missed the potential game-tying shot as the buzzer sounded.

The third-seeded women’s basketball team defeated the sixth-seeded Graceland Yellow Jackets 82-65 on Wednesday, March 4, in the Collins Center in the first round of the HAAC tournament. The Wildcats improved to 21-8 on the season and won their ninth straight game.

Seniors shine as women win eighth straight

The five seniors were the story for the women’s basketball team in an 85-61 victory over the Missouri Valley College Vikings in the regular-season finale. The Wildcats won their 20th game for the third consecutive season and locked up the third seed for the HAAC tournament.

Women's basketball wins sixth straight

The women’s basketball team continued to succeed down the final stretch of the 2015 season with wins against Avila University and Evangel University. Baker has won six consecutive games and owns sole possession of third place in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

The women’s basketball team continues to keep itself in the Heart of America Athletic Conference race with an 80-64 win over the Graceland Yellow Jackets on Saturday in Collins Center.

Women improve to 6-5 in HAAC

After a 70-63 loss to the MidAmerica Nazarene Pioneers on Thursday in the Collins Center the women’s basketball team overcame a 1-for-17 game from three-point range to defeat the Central Methodist Eagles 63-54 on Saturday in Fayette, Missouri.

Women drop to fifth in HAAC

The Baker women’s basketball team had a three-game winning streak snapped in a 69-66 loss to the Missouri Valley Vikings on Saturday in Marshall, Missouri. Baker finished with 18 turnovers and a season low 7-20 from the free throw line.
