Freshman Katelyn Morris participates in an activity Tuesday during the Community Action Poverty Simulation at Collins Center. The simulation was brought to Baker University by Assistant Professor of Sociology Jacob Bucher’s social inequality class. During the simulation, students participated in activities that allowed them to gain an understanding of the poverty that over 3 billion people live in.

Poverty simulation provides experience

Students and faculty were invited to attend the Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) Tuesday to get a first-hand experience of that poverty.
