Over Thanksgiving, there is basically one kind of dessert at my house, pie. Rather than baking what is already well-known, I decided to help make an essential part of the Thanksgiving tradition, the appetizer. Rather than making a traditional cheese ball, I decided to add a twist. So this Thanksgiving, my family and I enjoyed a Turkey shaped cheese ball!
Ingredients
- 2 large package cream cheese
- 1 jar Old English cheese spread
- 1 jar Olive and Pimento cheese spread
- 1 package dry Hidden Valley Ranch mix
- Chopped pecans (as desired)
for Turkey shaped cheese ball
-
slice of red bell pepper
-
2 slices of a black olive
-
1 whole pecan
-
crackers of any kind
Instructions
- Simply blend all ingredients, except the pecans, until smooth.
- Shape into a ball, and cover with chopped pecans

-
Add an additional ball of cheese spread on top and cover with pecans as well.
-
Place olives on top ball for eyes.
-
Stick the whole pecan, under the eyes, for a beak.
-
Place the red bell pepper slice under the pecan to look like a gobbler.
-
Fan the crackers out behind the cheese ball to look like feathers.
