During interterm, students go to class in the morning then have the majority of the day off, other than an athletic practice here and there. So for most students the question lies, what should we do for the afternoon? Should we nap? Should we do something productive? Or maybe even go for a lazy afternoon to paint ceramics.

That is exactly what two of my friends and I did during an afternoon this interterm. We had not planned anything for that afternoon, so we picked up and drove to Lawrence to Sunfire ceramics. We thought it would be a fun short trip, nothing too exciting. But to our amazement, we ended up staying there for about four hours just painting.

We each painted something different. It was fun to pick colors, give advice and just be in a relaxing place for so long without a worry. It was by far a good afternoon, and this picture shows our final projects of what we did...we are artists.
